Summer has officially arrived (and the sweating has commenced) and I thought I would get you up to speed on a couple of new recent purchases that I'm loving.
First off, is this COS top I bought a couple of weeks ago. I know it's super plain, but it is a lovely quality, shape and colour. I've been finding pieces that are not quite white, but rather an ecru, cream or natural colour so much easier to style and if you get a dirty mark, it's way less noticeable which is a bonus. I have a really terrible habit of buying no basics and only embellished or 'fancy' items and then I don't have any basics to wear them with. This top is one of those basics my wardrobe so desperately needs, but I also thought it was a nice update on the summer singlet! Furthermore, if you wanted to get your hands on it, I would do so quickly because I imagine this one will be scooped quite quickly.
I've also made a couple of accessory additions to the fam which will be making lots of features in the future because I'm obsessed! You will have already seen the bag in my Everlane post, and many many times on the 'gram. God, I am totally smitten with this Sophie Hulme bolt bag. I already have a black basic handbag but I, again, wanted to update it with something a little more structured. At first, I was really apprehensive about the small size, but it surprisingly fits a lot! The finish of the leather isn't too soft and delicate and so it doesn't scratch easily at all. I love the functional 'bolts' so you can switch to top hand or crossbody at any time with ease. Having a top handle as well as a cross body was also one of the main criteria check boxes when I was on the hunt, so naturally I've just kept both on so I have both options. This also leads me on to say that I like how the strap is wide, so it's really comfortable on the body. I've been reaching for this bag non stop and would recommend it in a heart beat! The croc finish one is to due for too!
Next up, are these pearl earrings from Wolfe Circus. Pearls are a hot hot trend right now, so if you're looking for a pair of pearly whites, then you don't have to look far! What set these a part were the organic shapes and mismatched-ness of them. I've been really drawn to the uniquely shaped ones, but they often cost an arm and a leg and these Wolfe Circus ones, I thought were really reasonably priced! I've been finding them so easy to dress up outfits, like this simple summer's outfit, but they are also perfect for a night out.
Those are all my new-in summer bits! Hope all you Aussies are enjoying the summer festive season!
