Sharing some thoughts on spring and greeting it with a typical shirt dress with you all today! While I am a little sad to pack away my knitwear and scarfs, I am equally happy to finally be wearing shirting and dresses too again. This outfit won't come as a surprise to most of you and is certainly not groundbreaking - but what can I say, I can't get enough of it my life! I think at the end of any season, it's always nice to relish in the simple outfits as the new season comes in. I've also cracked out this gorgeous red lip (because white and red is pretty much a no-brainer) called 'Bar Red' from Estee Lauder's Pure Color Love lipstick range which is extremely matte and doesn't budge all day! I would keep in mind, it is quite drying though, so if that's not your cup of tea then I recommend steering clear.
Labels have really been putting their all into designing some beautiful shirting pieces over the last couple of years and it's safe to say I am a total sucker! I think cotton, is relatively easy to work with and still produces incredible design results. It's also very light, while still holding shape. In turn, it means you can wear something fancy with shape and a silhouette like ruffles and or large sleeves, and it still feel relatively low maintenance. I think that's why I love shirting so much because you can dress up without feeling like you're sacrificing your comfort. Speaking of comfort, I've also been loving my new Superga sneakers but I'm keen to roughen them up a bit because the stark white is slightly blinding! Those are all my initial thoughts on spring - but I have been feeling majorly inspired by the turn of the new spring season so keep your eye out for heaps of new content!
