Admittedly, about 80% of my makeup collection consists of higher end products, but there are quite a few hidden gems from the drugstore that are true staples in my collection. Keep on reading to see what has made into my top 10 products.

Let the countdown begin!

First up and in 10th place is the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Sandstorm. These lipsticks are really soft and creamy, as the name would suggest and offer some great experimental shades. It dries down to a velvety finish but does not completely set, making it really easy to reapply throughout the day. I love this shade in particular, because it is the perfect 90s browny nude that really compliments my skin tone.

The colour selection may also be this product's downfall as there are not many classic shades, but I still stand by them as they are an affordable option for trying some unexpected colours.

These Revlon liquid lipsticks make into my 9th spot and you'll see later down the list that Revlon really has the upper hand in the in the lip department.

The lipsticks have crazy pigmentation and dry down to an almost velvet finish. These products however, are not to be confused with your typical higher end liquid lipsticks as they do not completely dry down. This means your lips are left relatively hydrated and they are easy to reapply during the day and night. These lipsticks still last quite long on the lips however, so they still tick the longevity box. If you are a fan of liquid lipsticks but aren't so keen for the drying effect, then these are the ones to try!

My two favourite colours are Seduction (nude) and Passion (red).

You're bound to have heard the praises of L'OREAL Paris' eyeshadows and that's why they've made it 8th on my list. These shadows are you go-to for shimmers, as they have a vast colour selection with great pigmentation. Importantly, they are very easy to blend and pigmentation means you aren't left with a few sparkles and no colour after blending.

Next on my countdown are the Revlon Matte lipsticks in the shades, Really Red and Nude Attitude. These matte lipsticks are my favourite from the drugstore and have remained in my collection since I was 16! They have really stood the test of time up against some tough competition as they really last all day with amazing colour payoff.

I would highly recommend Really Red, especially if you're testing the bright-lipstick-waters, as they are affordable and last all day with great pigmentation. Nude Attitude is quite a pale nude for my skin tone, so it might be a great option for those with fairer skin tones but probably harder for those with deeper ones.

Keep in mind that they are a little drying, being matte lipsticks and can sometimes pill after a very long wears.

Eyeliner can been my signature eye look ever since I first started getting into make up so I couldn't not include a liquid liner into my top 10 favourites!

The Supercat has been my favourite drugstore eyeliner for quite a few years now and it is mainly because of the nib shape and blackness of formula. The formula, I will say, does not last the longest on me, like Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner, but my eyelids are extremely oily!

Not only does the pen style add to the ease of application but the nib itself is the perfect shape. I like to use the nib to create the shape of my liner by drawing it along the length which means the pen does all the work for you. I can finish my eyeliner using only two strokes per eye - one for along the lash line and one for the flick.

This product is also one of the most affordable eyeliners from the drugstore. Unfortuantely, it is also pretty hard to track down in Australia so make sure to snag a few if you go overseas to America or Europe.

I use this L'OREAL brow plumper every single day and I have never felt the need to change it up. I have very fine hairs, so I love that this product has fibres to build the hairs but also keeps them in place all day. It also leaves the brows looking extremely natural looking - you can't go wrong with this one!

Benefit Gimme Brow

This is the most recent product in my collection and boy did it impress me! I mostly love the contouring end of this product. The highlighter is extremely natural and almost doesn't show but it is easy to blend.

Firstly, the colour selection is really great for the contour end. have the lighter version which is actually only a shade or two darker than my skin tone, and therefore looks extremely natural on me. It would also be great for fairer skin tones!

It's very subtle but still adds dimension to your face. So, you aren't crazy about contouring, and have mid tone skin tone, then this is the product for you.

The stick formula also adds to how natural it looks on the skin and it is easy to blend and doesn't go patchy over your foundation.

NARS Matte Multiple

These are my favourite eyeshadows from the drugstore. I purchased the colour Milllonaire (below) on Sam from Pixowoo's recommendation and it turned out to be the perfect shade for my skins tone. It is basically my-skin-colour-but-better with a bit of shimmer in the mix. It's the perfect shade for wearing with liquid eyeliner, as I find wearing eyeshadow can create a too heavy eye look when paired with liquid liner. It also creates the perfect base for the liner to sit on to bring out the blackness.

Importantly, it wears beautifully during the day and you can accidentally rub your eye and it doesn't matter. I love Millionaire so much, I had to buy another one and I chose the shade Taup Matte, which is a lovely cool medium brown, great to wear on it's own or as a base. Being matte and slightly darker than Millionaire it does create more depth. I cannot recommend these eyeshadows enough - they are so affordable and perfect for everyday!

Lucky 2nd place goes to the Real Techniques brushes! I own quite a few of them and I absolutely love them! They are slightly less affordable than most other brushes available at the drugstore but I think they are totally worth the price. They are synthetic which means they work well with any texture (creams, powders, liquids) and are easy to wash.

My favourites are the eyeshadow brush (pictured) and the duo fibre contour brush (pictured), but I use so many of them for my eyebrows, foundation, blush and more!

My ultimate favourite drugstore beauty product is the L'OREAL Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation! This foundation performs like a high end foundation and I love it for everyday use.

It has a light coverage and can be built to a medium coverage and has a lovely dewy finish. The formula lasts all day but the cushion gives for easy and convenient application and touch ups if needed.

The only downfall is the limited colour range - I am the shade 07 which is the second darkest shade. So, the range does not lend itself well to those with darker skin tones, unfortunately!

It also has no SPF, which can be both a pro and con. Since it is a light coverage, I love it for everyday and would ideally love the convenience of SPF. However, if you are taking pictures then you won't experience any flashback!
